That’s a wrap on an unforgettable journey! 🌊🏆

The CAPN 2026 at IFS has officially come to an end. From the first dive on Tuesday to the final sprint on Friday, the atmosphere has been nothing short of electric. We saw our student-athletes push their limits, celebrate each other’s victories, and above all, have the time of their lives. 💙

It’s time to celebrate our overall delegation champions:

What a fantastic Sports Day for our CP classes! 🌟

Energy levels: 100%! ⚡️From soaring through the air in jumps to showing off their agility on the parkour & wall climbing course, our little athletes had an absolute blast. They practiced their aim with frisbee throws and bocce, worked as a team in dodgeball, and had a literal “feeding frenzy” playing Hungry Hippo! 🦛

So proud of their sportsmanship and smiles . It wasn’t just about the competition; it was about discovering new skills and having fun together.

Watching them encourage each other was the highlight of the day. Well done to all our young stars! 👏 Swipe to see our champions in action! 📸

March was a busy and inspiring month for our parent community at IFS! ☕️✨

We held three Café Parents sessions, bringing parents together to share experiences, gain expert insights, and support one another. Here is a look back at our recent gatherings:

🗓️ March 10th: Navigating the Essentials Managing school paperwork can be a challenge! This session helped parents demystify administrative jargon, understand key acronyms, and navigate IFS-specific procedures.
A huge thank you to the Parent Commission, Mme Mathias (Secondary School), and Marie (Occupational Therapist) for their valuable guidance.

🗓️ March 20th: Nutrition for Teens A deep dive into adolescent health and debunking common myths. Parents exchanged practical tips on how to fuel our teens for success.
Special thanks to the Parent Commission and Dorothée (Dietitian & Nutritionist) for leading this insightful discussion!

🗓️ March 25th: Supporting Special Educational Needs A dedicated session on helping children with dyslexia (reading), dyscalculia (numbers), and dyspraxia (writing). A morning filled with concrete tools for home support.
Grateful for the expertise of: Pauline (Speech-Language Therapist), Blandine (Educational Therapist), and Angélique (Graphotherapist & Parent Commission member).

🤝 Community Matters A massive thank you to our Parent Commission and all the experts who volunteered their time to make these events possible. We love seeing our community grow stronger together!

Coffee, Croissants, and Community Building ☕🥐

We were delighted to host students from the @moelc_official (Ministry of Education Language Centre) at IFS! 🇸🇬🇫🇷

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to build bridges through language and culture. Our guests enjoyed an insightful tour of the campus, followed by a convivial breakfast where students from both horizons could connect, share experiences, and practice their French in a relaxed atmosphere.

Seeing such passion for the French language within the Singaporean community is always a highlight for us. These exchanges are a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering strong ties within the local educational landscape. 🤝✨

The adventure continues! On March 30th, 2026, it will be our students’ turn to experience the same immersion as they visit other Singaporean schools alongside their MOELC partners. Various activities and awareness actions will also be taking place in classrooms and during breaks to celebrate this collaboration. 🚌🎒

Francophonie Week & Spring of Poets: Our School is Abuzz! 🇫🇷🌍

From March 16th, the International French School (IFS) turned into a vibrant stage for “Résonances Francophones.” This special week, led by Elodie Leteissier, Anthony Da Silva, Laura Faledam, Elsa Belbacha and Elodie Debove, celebrates the French language and the “Printemps des Poètes” through the incredible creativity of our students!

From Grade 6 to Grade 10, our students have been busy bringing words to life:
🎙️ Action-packed: Sports commentary and voice dubbing workshops.
📜 Poetry in motion: “Expressive Brigades” roaming the halls and poetic stickers decorating lockers.
🎭 Artistic flair: Living paintings (“Tableaux Vivants”) and a massive graffiti mural celebrating “Liberty.”
🧠 Academic fun: A giant Bernard Pivot-style dictation (shoutout to our Primary students for joining in!).
🎈 Symbolic moments: A bubble release to mark the start of the poetry season and poetic kites flying high in the 3C.

We also shared moments of reflection with a Multilingual Poetry Reading and a Literary Café where staff and students bonded over their favorite books. ☕📚

A huge thank-is to all the participants for proving that the French language is a living, breathing force!

Architecture meets clay! 🏛️✨

Our 3ème students completed an incredible journey into the world of Antoni Gaudí, 100 years after his legacy began. Under the guidance of local artist Lynn Teo, our classrooms transformed into architectural studios.

The process was intense and rewarding:
1️⃣ Research & Design: Mastering perspective to bring Gaudí’s organic curves to life on paper.
2️⃣ Construction: Learning slab building techniques to turn 2D sketches into 3D clay structures.
3️⃣ The Finishing Touch: Applying glazes after the first firing to capture that iconic Gaudí color palette.

The results are now on display in the 3C! Come and see how these young architects reimagined “Gaudí Houses” for the 21st century. 🎨🏺

Next stop: Secondary School! 🚀✨

We were delighted to host an exclusive Open House for La Petite École parents! Transitioning to 6eme is a major milestone, and we are committed to making it a smooth and exciting journey for every child.

The morning began with a warm welcome and a coffee social, followed by insightful explanation by Ms. Erin-Agot, Vice-Principal, and our Head of School, Mr. Binan. They shared our unique approach to supporting students as they move from the final year of primary into the secondary cycle.

The highlight of the event? A guided tour of our secondary facilities, giving parents a firsthand look at the vibrant classrooms and innovative spaces where their children will continue to grow, learn, and thrive.
